Thirteen races without a win, but Pleasureofpressure has quietly been knocking on the door — a second, a third, and a fourth in its last three runs. Carrying the lowest official rating among the fancied runners, it arrives here well-placed in the weights and with consistent recent form that makes it one of the more intriguing each-way options.
Rated joint-top alongside Garrick Painter, Deed Pole is one of the more experienced horses in the field with 34 races under its belt. A solid third at Limerick just three weeks ago is encouraging, and this distance suits — but only two wins from 34 races tells you this is a horse that fills places more than it takes them.

Second at Tramore 26 days ago, Liberated Light arrives in the best recent form of any horse in the field and is priced as the second favourite. Its record on ground around this wetness is its strongest suit — one win from three races on similar conditions — but it has never won on soft ground proper, so there's a fine line here.

The market favourite, but the yard should note the jockey and trainer have never won together in eight attempts. This horse hasn't raced in 289 days — the longest absence in the entire field — so however good the form was at Perth last year, there's a real question mark over whether it returns in the same shape.

The standout fact here is that Dontdooddson is the only horse in the field who has already won at Wexford — and it's also the only horse who has won at this exact distance of 2m 1f. At 13 years old it carries the lowest weight in the race by some margin, and a third at Kilbeggan just 22 days ago shows it is still competing. Course and distance form in a big field is not nothing.

The Dancen Kid was pulled up at Kilbeggan just 22 days ago, which is the last thing you want to see heading into a race. It did manage a third-place finish two runs ago at Leopardstown, but with seven races and still no win, that glimmer hasn't yet turned into anything more.
No wins from six races, and a pulled-up run at Cork last time out makes this hard to support. Like several rivals, Deise Crystal has never raced on slightly soft ground, so today's conditions add another unknown to an already thin record.
Four races into its career, zero wins and zero placed finishes — Ballindenisk has never finished better than fifth. It has also never raced on slightly soft ground, so today's conditions are completely unknown territory for a horse that hasn't shown much yet on any surface.
On career numbers alone, Mo Ghille Mar has the best win rate in the field at roughly one in eight races — but recent form tells a very different story, with a 13th and a 6th in the last two runs. Crucially, this horse has never won on ground softer than good, and today's slightly wet surface is a significant concern.
A pulled-up run at Clonmel last month, a 14th before that, and a 13th before that — Ray Gun's recent form is as poor as it gets. At 29/1 and with just one career win to its name, this is one of the harder horses to make a case for in a competitive 17-runner field.
Ten races and not a single win or placed finish — Boogie Inthejungle is the least successful horse in the field by that measure. A fall two runs back and a 15th last month make this a tough sell, and there's nothing in the data to suggest today will be any different.
Five races, no wins, no places, and a gap in the form record that suggests a non-completion at some point. Bohemian Bay also has a new jockey today in their first time riding together, and it has never raced on slightly soft ground — everything here points toward an unlikely outcome.

Five races into its career with no wins and no placed finishes, Miss Donna was pulled up at Kilbeggan just 22 days ago. This is one of the least experienced horses in the field, and the record so far gives little reason for confidence at this level.

The most lightly raced horse in the field alongside Any Chance with just four races, and the form makes grim reading — a 20th, a 17th, a 13th, and a pulled-up run. At 51/1, the market has this right.
How do odds work? The first number is what you win, the second is what you bet. So 5/2 means you win £5 for every £2. 4/1 means you win £4 for every £1. The bigger the first number, the less likely bookmakers think the horse will win — but the more you'd win if it does.
