She hasn't won yet from three races and has never raced on today's slightly soft ground, but Gordon Elliott and Jack Kennedy is one of the most powerful pairings in Irish racing and the consistent form makes her a genuine contender.

The top-rated horse in this field by a clear 11lbs, which on paper makes her a serious player — but the market tells a very different story, drifting from near-favourite to 5.4. She ran a solid second last time out, beaten under three lengths, but that came after two very distant finishes, and at seven years old with just one win from six races, the form is patchy at best.

The big positive here is the team: Darragh O'Keeffe is in the best jockey form in this field — four wins from 13 rides in the last two weeks — and trainer Henry De Bromhead has two winners from 15 in the same period. Miss Jocund herself finished third twice before a disappointing fifth last time, and she's returning from seven months off, but if any horse here has the support team to make a return from a break work, it's this one.

Like Poetic Twist, this horse has placed twice from three races — back-to-back seconds — and arrives with solid claims on form. She's been off the track for six months, which is a concern, but two close finishes before that break suggest there's a win in her somewhere when conditions come together.
