"He's quite special. Whether that's going to be this year, I don't know. He wants top of the ground, so we're not going to risk him on slower ground. He's out of a sister to Oaks winner Qualify and the dream - if he doesn't run again this year - is to return in a Derby trial, probably with a Derby entry. The Zetland or the Autumn Stakes this month could be targets for him - they're both on the same day and he'd need the right ground to go. The form of his run in the Ascendant Stakes looks good and we've always liked him. 08-10-25"
"He's one I like for later in the year. He's a good-bodied colt who has a nice pedigree on the dam's side and cost a few quid at the sales. He's from the first crop of St Mark's Basilica, who won four consecutive Group 1s in 2021 for Aidan O'Brien. 30-04-25"
How do odds work? The first number is what you win, the second is what you bet. So 5/2 means you win £5 for every £2. 4/1 means you win £4 for every £1. The bigger the first number, the less likely bookmakers think the horse will win — but the more you'd win if it does.
