That is a meaningful jump, and it suggests he is either particularly patient and tactful in those conditions, or simply gets his best horses when the weather turns.

Wincanton is another quirk worth noting. Three winners from just 10 races there — 30%, or roughly 1 in every 3 — is the kind of record that makes trainers reach for the phone when they have a runner at that track.
