The standout talent in this field: a three-year-old with a 43% win rate (the best in the race) who has won at Salisbury twice in her last six outings, including just 13 days ago. She's dropped two classes from her usual level and arrives in career-best form with three straight top-3 finishes, making her the logical threat to the favourite despite being dropped down.
Drops 2 classes from usual level3 straight top-3 finishesBest career win rate in field (1 in 2)
Market favourite at 4.33 and drops two classes from usual level, which should suit, but her last run at York (8th, beaten 6.8L) just 14 days ago was disappointing and she's far from reliable at six furlongs—her 25% career win rate masks the fact she's only truly effective at 7f-1m (40% there). This sprint asks a different question than her home distances.
Drops 2 classes from usual levelMarket favourite (4.33)
Won a Class 1 race at York in May 2024—the kind of headline victory that defines a career—and is second-rated here, but her recent form is patchy and she also has a glaring weakness on soft ground (0 wins from 3 starts). She thrives on fast, dry ground and at her ideal distances (5-6.5f), but this slightly soft surface and her recent 6th at Newmarket raise questions about current readiness.

"She was second, beaten only a nose, by last week's Duke of Cambridge winner Crimson Advocate in a Listed fillies' race at Goodwood and was then third in a Group 2 in France. She ran in the Sandringham at Royal Ascot on Friday and I was expecting her to go very well as a Group horse in a handicap but she was pulled up. I think she must have whacked a joint and I'm really happy that William Buick pulled her up as it's better to be safe than sorry. She appears to be fine but we'll make further checks just in case to make sure there's no problem. I think she's very underrated and I've got her in the Falmouth at the Newmarket July meeting. That may be a step too far, but all being well it'll be Group races over a mile for her. 02-07-25"
Just won at Newmarket 13 days ago and holds seven career wins (more than most here), suggesting form and readiness, but she's a five-year-old with inconsistent form patterns and a poor record on good ground (1 win from 10). Her strength is good-to-firm ground (4 wins from 11), which contradicts this slightly soft surface, and the class level here is stiffer than at Newmarket.
One of the more successful in the field (7 career wins)
Top-rated by 3lbs and the most experienced horse here with 34 races under her belt, but that experience brings a troubling pattern: she's never won on soft ground (0 from 3) or standard ground (0 from 4), and this slightly soft surface at Salisbury poses real questions. Recent form shows promise—2nd at Newbury just 19 days ago—but her record at galloping tracks is blank (0 wins from 6), and Salisbury demands that profile.

Lowest-rated horse in the field, carrying the least weight, and a three-year-old with only 2 wins from 12 races—but she's raced four times in the last six weeks, showing active training and placement. She won at Sandown 41 days ago and ran 2nd at Salisbury just 65 days back, suggesting the course suits, though soft ground is unproven for her and the class jump is significant.

The one glimmer of hope here is her 3 wins from 9 races at exactly this distance (6f)—a genuine course-distance specialist edge—but her recent form is dire (14th and 12th in last two) and her last win came more than a year ago in September 2024. Now five and struggling on soft ground (no wins from recent attempts), she looks a fading force.

One of the few course winners here (won at Salisbury 65 days ago) and has shown improved form lately, but she faces a significant problem: her only wins come on fast, dry ground (3 from 6 on good-to-firm), and she's never won on soft ground or good-to-soft ground (0 from 3 and 0 from 3). This surface is almost custom-built to expose her, and the draw (11) doesn't help.
A three-year-old with a 40% win rate across just five races and two straight wins (Leicester and Wolverhampton), but the warning sign is her catastrophic 10th at Pontefract just 18 days ago, beaten 22 lengths. Like several others here, she's never run on soft ground, and that poor recent outing suggests something has shifted in her fitness or form.

A three-year-old with a solid 29% win rate who won at Wetherby 130 days ago, but recent form has deteriorated sharply (9th at Musselburgh 27 days ago, 14th at Ascot before that). She's never run on soft ground, and after two poor efforts, the burden is on her to prove she can bounce back at this level.
Won a Class 2 race at Newbury on her very first start—a rare feat that speaks to genuine class—but has only raced three times total and crucially has never run on soft ground. The 71-day gap since her last run and complete absence of soft-ground experience make her a wild card, though her pedigree says she's capable of much better than her recent 3rd at Carlisle.

How do odds work? The first number is what you win, the second is what you bet. So 5/2 means you win £5 for every £2. 4/1 means you win £4 for every £1. The bigger the first number, the less likely bookmakers think the horse will win — but the more you'd win if it does.
