"We're starting all over again with him. We're very happy with him at this moment and everything has been done - we've taken him to bits and put him back together. We've checked his eyes because we've had a look at those just as much as anything else. I don't know what happened at the end of last season but we've started jumping again and we'll be doing lots of it. I can't teach him anything though, because he was the best. We tried to run him in Ireland, but that was my fault and we should never have gone. He's in great order now and he's had masses of inspections. There was internal surgery on an organ, but I don't know if it was significant; we were just dotting the i's and crossing the t's. The plan is the same. We'll be off to Newcastle for the Fighting Fifth and he'll be ready. That would be followed by the Christmas Hurdle and then we can hope he can win the Champion Hurdle back. All I can say is that he's in great order and he'll be going off to do all sorts of things before the race. 21-10-25"

"He was pretty impressive on his debut in August and then he had an issue. He's in good form now and I think he's going to go for the Dante. His owner is from Yorkshire and his work would suggest that's a good place to start. 28-04-25"

How do odds work? The first number is what you win, the second is what you bet. So 5/2 means you win £5 for every £2. 4/1 means you win £4 for every £1. The bigger the first number, the less likely bookmakers think the horse will win — but the more you'd win if it does.
