The inconsistency has been puzzling. Yet at Class 4 level, where he typically competes, he has managed just 1 win from 20 races. Warren Fentiman, his most frequent rider, has partnered him 8 times for a single victory. The owner's belief that Churchill's progeny would improve with age has not materialised, and at this stage of his career, with form fading, Dawn Of Liberation looks like a horse whose best days were behind him before he turned five.
