Cougar Force

What's encouraging is that trainer Heather Main, based at Kingston Lisle in Oxfordshire, runs a yard in good form this season with 17 winners already saddled. The team clearly knows how to get horses across the line. Cougar Force's recent form suggests it's competitive enough to pick up places at Class 5 level, where it has run four times without winning, but the consistency isn't quite there yet. Over its last six races it has mixed a couple of third-place finishes with some well-beaten efforts, the kind of inconsistency you often see in young horses still finding their feet. With only one career run without a place finish to show for it, there's reason to think better days are coming — but for now, Cougar Force remains a horse waiting to deliver on its potential.
