The question now is whether Arcadian Nights still has another win in him or whether he has begun the slow fade that comes with age.

What remains genuinely interesting about him is his partnership with Billy Loughnane, who rides for trainer Mark Loughnane at Rock Farm in Worcestershire. Together they have a winning record of 4 from 14 races — a 29% win rate — which is notably sharper than Arcadian Nights' overall rate. That suggests the pair suit each other, and Loughnane seems to know how to get the best from this horse. Lingfield Park has also been a happy hunting ground: 2 wins from just 5 races there shows he can genuinely dominate certain tracks when conditions or the race setup suits him. Whether Arcadian Nights can rediscover that form remains to be seen, but his record proves he belongs in a race, even if the wins have dried up of late.
