The most regular partnership in the yard is with jockey Daniel King, who has taken the reins on 10 of those 21 runners without a win to show for it. Ten rides together and no winner yet means the pair are still searching for the moment everything clicks — and in racing, that moment can arrive suddenly and without much warning.

What is worth remembering is that Stokes has only been training since 2022. Four years is still early in any training career, and plenty of trainers who went on to make a real name for themselves spent their first few seasons learning the hard way. The winners will matter far more when they do arrive.
