Three years is still early in a jockey's career, and plenty of riders who went on to have long, successful careers spent their first seasons grinding through the tough early miles without much to show for it in the results column. Getting eleven rides in a season means trainers are still putting him up — and that counts for something.

There is nothing here yet to define him, but there is also everything still to play for. That first winner, whenever it comes, will mean a great deal.
