Ella McGarry has been riding since April 2024, which means she's barely a year into life as a professional jockey. The fact that she has rides at all at this stage matters — getting booked by trainers is its own kind of endorsement, and getting winners is another thing entirely. Most jockeys spend a long time waiting for their first, and McGarry already has one on the board.
