For a 9-year-old, that is genuinely solid — horses at this stage of their career often fade, but Woodstream Lad is still turning up and still competing.

He will never headline a festival or fill a trophy cabinet, but he has carved out a respectable little career. Find him on a soft day, at a track that suits, and with the right conditions in place, he remains exactly the kind of horse that rewards those paying close attention.
