The first win came at Southwell in March 2026, which cracked open the account after a long wait. Then, just last week, Tuscan Point went one better and won at Lingfield Park — confirming that the Southwell victory was no fluke. Back-to-back wins within a couple of months is the kind of sequence that turns heads, and the recent form line of 2-1-2-5-2-1 reads almost like a horse that has worked out what racing is all about. The single fifth place looks like the outlier now.

Where Tuscan Point really makes sense is on fast, dry ground and over the shorter distances — five to six and a half furlongs. Those conditions have produced both career wins from just 11 attempts at those trips, a win rate of roughly 1 in 5 (18%), which is significantly better than the overall record suggests. Normal ground specifically has been the sweet spot: 2 wins from 5 races at 40%, meaning when the underfoot conditions are right, this horse wins almost every other time out. That is a striking number.

Interestingly, regular jockey Oisin Orr has partnered Tuscan Point six times without a win between them, yet the horse has clearly been winning for someone. It is one of those quirks that the statistics throw up without an obvious explanation. Meanwhile, trainer Adam Kirby — based at Kirtling, just outside Newmarket — has sent out six winners already this season, so the yard is in decent shape. Tuscan Point raced just yesterday, which means this is a horse right in the middle of a campaign, competing regularly and currently at the peak of its form. At a level where consistency is rare, two wins in six races from a horse that spent a long time finding its feet makes Tuscan Point one of the more interesting stories running right now.
