What makes Style Of Life genuinely interesting, though, is the context behind her recent form. Bethell has spoken warmly about her, and with good reason: the horse has a history of bleeding — a respiratory condition that can cut short careers and makes simply getting to the track a challenge in itself. To win first time out and then follow up was, by Bethell's own account, really pleasing. A horse that keeps showing up and keeps delivering against that kind of background is more than just a number on a racecard.
