The horse's most recent victory came at Pontefract on 22 June 2025, more than a year ago now, but her form over the last six races tells a different story. After winning that race, Style Of Life has been second twice, fourth once, and fifth once, with only one eleventh-place finish. That is the record of a horse still capable of running well, even if the wins have dried up. Her trainer, Harriet Bethell, who runs her yard from Arnold in East Yorkshire, has suggested that Style Of Life has had a setback—the horse tied up during a recent race and has been rested—but there is optimism she will return. Bethell described her as a "dark horse," the kind of remark that hints at a horse with more to give than recent results might suggest.

Style Of Life's career tells a story of a sound, hardworking horse rather than a star in waiting. She took until September 2023 to record her first win, at Wolverhampton, but once she broke through, she quickly added a second victory, which pleased her trainer given a history of bleeding issues that have complicated her racing life. The fact that Bethell has been able to keep her racing regularly, winning at a respectable rate, speaks to careful management and good horsemanship. With the yard in good form this season and Style Of Life back on the easy list, there may yet be another win or two in her before her racing days are done.
