Stipulation

The most recent win came at Wolverhampton back in September 2025 — and that is now eight months ago. Since then, Stipulation has run six times without winning, though the recent form figures of 8-3-3-3-5-3 show a horse that keeps knocking on the door. Three third-place finishes in the last four completed runs suggests the level is right, the fitness is there, but something — a rival just a touch better, a moment of hesitation — keeps the winning feeling just out of reach.

What stands out is the record at Class 5 level, which is the bread-and-butter tier where most of Stipulation's races have been run. Despite eight attempts at that level, the win count is zero. That is a striking number. It does not mean the horse is out of its depth — far from it, given all those places — but it does suggest Stipulation finds a way to do everything except get its nose in front when it matters most.

Mark Loughnane, based at Rock Farm in Worcestershire, trains the horse, and his yard has been in good form this season with 25 winners sent out. Loughnane clearly knows how to get horses ready to run — the question with Stipulation is finding the right moment when ready to run becomes ready to win. The horse raced just yesterday, so the team is keeping it busy and clearly believes another chance to break the drought is close. Given the consistency shown in recent outings, they may not have long to wait.
