She races in Class 6 company, which is where horses at her level tend to compete, and the figures are stark: zero wins from four attempts at that grade. She is trained by George Margarson at Newmarket, a yard that has saddled eleven winners already this season, so the infrastructure and expertise are present — the horse simply has not delivered. That said, at three years old, she is still young enough for things to change, and the fact that she was out racing just a day ago shows she remains active and in work. For now, though, She's Crafty remains a work in progress: a consistent if unspectacular competitor who has run into the kind of blank spell that tests both horse and trainer's patience.
