Whether that persistence pays off is the open question. Nine places from 19 races is a career built almost entirely on nearly — and at some point, nearly has to become yes. Redhot Whisper is still active, still running, and with a trainer who clearly gets results, the first win remains a realistic possibility rather than a distant dream.
