Pretty Danielle

At Class 4, she's competing in the middle tier of British racing — not the glamour end, but no pushover either. She's been held at that level across three races and is yet to win at it, which means the team will be weighing up whether to try her somewhere slightly easier, or to keep faith that a breakthrough is coming. She raced just yesterday, so she's clearly fit and active, which counts for something.

Pretty Danielle is the kind of horse whose story isn't finished yet. Three-year-olds can take time to find their feet, and plenty have turned a frustrating early career into something more rewarding as the season goes on. Whether she's one of them is the question her trainer is still working to answer.
