That's nearly double the overall career average, and it suggests the horse genuinely needs a test of stamina to show itself at its best. Shorter trips appear to be where the wheels come off.

The recent form makes for harder reading. The last six runs read 11-6-4-9-13-10 — that sixth-place finish from four races ago is the closest thing to encouragement in there. Pop The Question raced just yesterday, so it's clearly still an active part of the yard's plans, but there's no disguising the fact that a win hasn't come for nearly two years. At Class 5, which is where it typically competes — the lower end of the sport's ladder — the record is zero wins from four races. That's the level where you'd most expect results to arrive, which makes the blank there particularly telling.

The training operation behind the horse carries genuine weight.
