The numbers tell an interesting story about where Our Dylan belongs. That is a serious win rate for any horse at any class. The overall career figure of 6 wins from 36 races, roughly 1 in every 6, looks more modest, but it masks the fact that Our Dylan has been quietly building into something more reliable lately.

Trainer Kayley Woollacott runs a busy and productive yard down in Woolminstone, Somerset, and with 16 winners already on the board this season, she clearly has the horses in good heart. Our Dylan fits the picture of a horse that has been placed with care and patience — first winning at Hereford back in April 2024, and most recently landing a race at Wincanton as recently as four weeks ago. Ben Godfrey has been the regular partner in the saddle, riding Our Dylan in 11 races together and coming away with 2 of those wins, a win rate of roughly 1 in 5 (18%), which is a solid return.

What makes this horse genuinely interesting right now is the timing. Raced just yesterday and still clearly in a rich vein of form, Our Dylan is an active, competitive animal at an age when plenty of horses have long since been retired. Three wins from the last six races at 10 years old is not the profile of a horse winding down — it reads more like one that has finally worked out how to win.
