His spiritual home appears to be Doncaster. Two of his three career wins have come there, from just 6 races at the track — that's 1 win in every 3 attempts, which is a striking return for a horse operating at this level. His most recent win came at Doncaster in July 2025 on wet, muddy ground — ground that his trainer Julie Camacho wasn't certain he'd handle. As Camacho put it, sometimes you just have to give these things a go. He responded with what she described as a real show of attitude, and it confirmed something useful: he can handle a soft surface, which opens doors on days when other horses are less keen.

Camacho trains out of Norton in North Yorkshire and has had 46 winners this season alone — a yard clearly in form. Lumenbourg has been part of that momentum. Ryan Sexton has been in the saddle for all three of Lumenbourg's wins, riding him in 17 of his 23 races and winning 3 of those — roughly 1 in every 6 rides together, which makes their partnership one of the more productive details in his file.

Most of Lumenbourg's races have come at Class 6, the entry-level tier of British racing, where he has won 3 from 14 — just over 1 in 5, which is a solid return at that grade. He hasn't won in his last 6 races, but his recent form reads 3-10-8-3-2-3, which means he's been placing and finishing close without quite getting his nose in front. He raced just one day ago and is clearly being kept busy.

The picture Camacho paints is of a horse who tries hard, enjoys his racing, and is fun to have around the yard. For a horse at this level, that attitude is the thing that keeps the yard coming back — and it's probably why he's placed in nearly 70% of his career races. When Doncaster comes around again, he'll be worth watching.
