Love Is

Trained by Richard Hughes at Upper Lambourn in Berkshire, Love Is is part of a yard that has been in excellent form this season, sending out 60 winners already. Hughes has the experience and resources to develop a young horse properly, and the fact that Love Is has already won tells you there is genuine ability there. The challenge now is consistency — winning roughly 1 in every 5 races is respectable at this stage of a two-year-old's career, but Love Is will need to show it can string together better form if it is to climb the ranks. The gap between that Windsor success and the recent run suggests the horse may be learning what it takes to win at this level, which is entirely normal for a young animal still working out where it belongs.
