Her career numbers tell an interesting story. Across 19 races, she has won three times and finished in the places on four more occasions — a win rate of roughly 1 in every 6 races, or about 16%. That is not exceptional on its own, but the timing of those wins matters. Her first career victory did not come until September 2024, at Down Royal, and since then she has added two more. Three wins from her last dozen or so races is a very different horse to the one who spent the early part of her career searching for a breakthrough.

One number that stands out is her record on normal ground — the kind of conditions where the surface is neither muddy nor baked hard. On those days she has won 2 of her 8 races, a 25% win rate, or roughly 1 in 4. That is a meaningful edge. When the ground is in her favour, she becomes a genuinely competitive animal rather than one just making up the numbers.

She is trained by Neil Mulholland, whose yard at Limpley Stoke in Wiltshire has sent out 60 winners already this season — a strong operation by any measure. When a yard is firing at that volume, horses tend to arrive at the track in good shape, and Little Lady Lucy's current form suggests she is no exception. There is one slightly puzzling note in her record: she has raced seven times in Class 5 company — one step above the lowest level of racing — and has yet to win at that level. All three of her victories have come elsewhere, which raises a quiet question about exactly where she is most comfortable. That said, two wins in her last six, including one just days ago, is not the form of a horse in trouble. It is the form of a horse on a roll.
