Switch the conditions to anything softer or faster, and his record drops sharply, which tells you exactly what kind of surface brings out his best. Laravie built his career methodically. His first win came at Stratford-on-Avon in May 2025, and he has steadily accumulated wins since. He is not a headline horse, and he will never carry betting slips or make the evening news, but he is a useful, honest performer in a well-run yard. For a seven-year-old still winning races on the right ground and at the right level, that is exactly what you want to see. He will keep running, and on normal ground at Class 3, there is no reason to think his winning days are behind him.
