One detail worth noting: Hollie Doyle, one of Britain's most celebrated jockeys, has ridden Knights Gold five times without a win between them. That is not necessarily damning — five races is a small sample, and Doyle rides hundreds of horses — but it does mean the partnership has yet to click. The wins have come with other riders in the saddle.
