Recent form shows it running into the frame regularly — third place twice in the last six races, a second, a couple of third-place finishes — but also a frustrating third from last and a mid-field effort just days ago. The pattern suggests a horse that has plenty to offer on its day but hasn't found its rhythm consistently enough yet. At five years old, the horse is past the point where youth is an excuse. If Hopeful Hero is going to build a better record, those placings need to convert more often into wins.
