After a debut fourth place, she reeled off four wins in a row — first at Ayr in July 2025, then a Class 2 at Great Yarmouth later that month, and finally a Class 2 at Doncaster in September. That Doncaster win came on slightly soft ground, and it matters: on that kind of surface she has won all three races she has entered, a perfect record. In normal or dry conditions she has yet to win. That is not a footnote — it is a key piece of the puzzle when deciding where to run her next.

Burke's yard has been in exceptional form, sending out 140 winners this season, which is the kind of output that only comes from a well-organised, confident operation. When a trainer of that calibre calls a horse out publicly and says she has done nothing but improve with every run, it is worth paying attention. The admission that the low purchase price had initially made him "a little bit negative" in his thinking makes the story better, not worse — it is a reminder that horses do not read their price tags.

She has been off the track for around six months now, but that absence comes with context. The plan is Deauville on 7 April for a French Guineas trial, the Prix Imprudence, with the French Guineas itself potentially to follow if that goes well. The trainer is clear that she has grown and strengthened since last season — she was always described as a big, leggy type, and those horses often take time to fill into their frame. At two she was winning despite the track and ground not playing to her strengths, as Burke's assistant put it after one run. At three, with a proper winter behind her, the question is not whether she can compete at a higher level. It is how much higher she can go.
