The most recent form reads as a little mixed — a ninth-place finish sandwiched between more encouraging runs — but the horse bounced back from that poor effort to post a second place, which is the kind of resilience that keeps a trainer patient. At five years old, there is still time and room to find that elusive breakthrough, and with an active yard behind it and a race in the legs just yesterday, Fenian Maxios looks like a horse whose story is still very much being written.
