A perfect three from three at any track is rare enough to be genuinely remarkable — racecourses suit different horses for all sorts of reasons, whether it is the shape of the track, the way the ground rides, or the distance. Eternal Sunshine simply loves Thirsk, and that fact alone is worth knowing if her name ever comes up on a racecard there.

Her best moment came at Doncaster on 13 September 2025, when she won a Class 2 race — one of the top tier events in British racing. Jockey Lauren Young said she was "full of confidence" that day, carrying minimal weight and quickening away from the field with ease. That kind of performance, at that level, matters. It confirmed she is more than just a horse that accumulates small wins at quiet venues.

Jim Goldie has been patient with her from the start. The trainer described her as a homebred they deliberately allowed to mature before asking big questions of her, and that measured approach has clearly paid off. Goldie's yard has sent out 88 winners this season alone, which tells you this is a stable that knows how to get horses ready and running at their best. Her most regular jockey, Paul Mulrennan, has won 5 of their 16 races together — that is winning roughly 1 in every 3 rides, which is a strong partnership by any measure.

She has not won in her last six races, and her recent form figures of 13-13-10-10-3-3 suggest she has been finding it harder to land a blow lately. But she raced just one day ago and remains active, and a horse who can win a Class 2 at Doncaster and go three from three at Thirsk is not one to write off.
