The recent form makes for difficult reading. In the last six races, Easter Sundae has finished 7th, 9th, 11th, 6th, 9th, and 8th — consistently midfield to the back of the field, with no obvious sign of improvement. These are Class 6 races, which is the lowest tier of British racing, and Easter Sundae has run eight of its races at this level without success. Class 6 is where horses come to find easier opportunities, so struggling here consistently is a real concern.
John Wainwright trains out of Norton in North Yorkshire and has sent out four winners this season, so the yard clearly knows how to get a horse to the line first. Easter Sundae just hasn't been one of them. The horse raced only yesterday, which speaks to an active campaign — the team are clearly still trying to find the right opportunity. Sometimes a horse clicks into form with a change of conditions or a drop in the field quality, and perhaps that is what they are searching for. But with no wins and no places from 14 attempts, Easter Sundae would need to do something it has never managed before just to make the first three.
