That debut win came over seven furlongs at Wolverhampton in April 2024, and it announced Court Drive as exactly the kind of project Kelleway enjoys. Based at Exning in Suffolk, the yard has sent out just two winners this season, so every one matters. Court Drive's owners, Premier Racing, hold a 60 per cent stake alongside two other partners, and they have every reason to feel good about the relationship — all five horses they have placed with Kelleway have won, three of them including Court Drive herself.

The broader record tells a more patient story. Across 30 races, Court Drive has won 3 and placed 10 times — winning roughly 1 in every 10 races, with her most recent victory coming at Pontefract in August 2025, now nine months ago. She competes mainly at Class 5 level, the bread-and-butter tier of British racing, and has won 2 of her 18 races at that level — again, about 1 in every 9 outings. That is not a record to set pulses racing, but it is a consistent, competitive profile: she shows up, she places, and occasionally she wins.

The last six races have produced nothing better than second, with finishes of 2-7-4-5-6-6 reading in reverse. Her most regular partner, jockey Luke Morris, has ridden her five times without a win between them. She raced just yesterday, which tells you this is an active, well-campaigned five-year-old still looking for her next moment. At Class 5, those moments do come — the question is whether Court Drive, who has already proved she can defy long odds on the right day, has another one in her.
