Cosmos has raced just once in the last week, which keeps his fitness sharp. His most recent victory came at Redcar on 22 August, so he's clearly still winning races at eight years old. Though his form dipped with a couple of sixth-place finishes in recent months, he bounced back into the places readily enough, which is all you ask of a horse at this stage of his career.
