Both of her wins have come on normal ground conditions, and that pattern is consistent enough to be meaningful. In 16 races on that surface she has won twice — roughly 1 in every 8 — compared to nothing at all on wetter or faster ground. Trainers and punters pay close attention to those kinds of splits, because a horse that only fires under specific conditions is one that needs to be caught at the right moment.

Her two wins have also both come at distances between a mile and a mile and two furlongs. In 14 races at those trips she has won 2, around 1 in 7, which makes her one of the more reliable performers in her own narrow band. Step outside that range and she has nothing to show for it. She is, in the nicest possible way, a horse who knows exactly what she is.

Ed Dunlop trains her from his Newmarket base, a yard that has already sent out 35 winners this season, so this is clearly a team with horses running well. Cieren Fallon, one of British racing's most promising young jockeys, has ridden her six times and won once together — winning roughly 1 in every 6 of their shared rides. That is a solid enough partnership, even if neither has quite unlocked a purple patch together.

Her most recent win came at Southwell in November 2025, now five months ago, and she has not scored in her last six races since. The most recent of those runs came just yesterday, with a fifth-place finish. Recent form of 5-10-7-6-4 shows she is still placing occasionally but that winning feeling has been elusive. At Class 6, the entry level of British racing, she is competing at a tier where wins are very much there to be taken — so when the right race on normal ground at the right distance comes along, Amber Honey will be worth a second look.
