The horse broke its maiden at Clonmel in May 2025, then added a second win at Tipperary that July. Since that second victory 13 months ago, Adaliz has had six races without another win, though there are signs of consistency. In the most recent six outings, the horse has mixed some disappointing runs — a fourth, a tenth, a ninth, and a thirteenth — with a third-place finish and a win. That win came just a day ago, which is a genuine bright spot: it shows that after a long drought, Adaliz can still find the form that delivered success before.
Racing in the yard of Henry De Bromhead at Knockeen in Waterford, Adaliz has access to excellent preparation. De Bromhead's team has sent out 110 winners already this season, a sign of a deeply competitive operation. For a horse that has shown it can win but has struggled to do so consistently, being in a yard like that could be the difference between occasional success and a proper run of form. Adaliz is very much an active proposition right now — active enough to have raced yesterday — so the journey is far from over.
