Some horses just click with a particular circuit, its shape, its surface, something in the rhythm of the place. For Zoffandia, Kempton seems to be that place.

That's a striking contrast to her overall record and suggests she's a horse who genuinely improves when conditions get testing. It's not unusual, but it's useful knowledge: when the forecast turns grey and the track gets soft, Zoffandia starts to look more dangerous than her general form might suggest.

What's harder to explain is her record at Class 4 level — the fourth tier of British racing, a step below the top end — where she has run 6 times without winning.
