Zipwire

The key to understanding Zipwire is Wolverhampton. Of its five races at the track, it has won three — a 60% win rate that borders on extraordinary. Most horses are happy to win once at a favourite track; Zipwire treats Wolverhampton like a home ground. Its first career win came there on 30 December 2025, and its most recent win — just three weeks ago, on 10 March 2026 — came there too. On normal conditions underfoot, it has won 3 of its 6 races at that level, which explains why the yard keep coming back to the same venue.

Jockey Taylor Fisher has been central to the story. In seven races together, Fisher has ridden Zipwire to all three of its wins — a win rate of 43%, which is genuinely eye-catching. In a sport where horse and rider combinations can take time to click, this partnership looks like something the trainer J S Moore has spotted and leaned into deliberately. Moore's yard at Upper Lambourn has sent out 17 winners this season, so this is a yard in good form, and Zipwire looks like one of their sharper tools.

There is one honest caveat worth mentioning. Zipwire has mostly competed at Class 5, which is the lower end of the racing ladder — and at that level it has only won 1 from 6, a rate of around 1 in 6, which looks modest against its overall record. The three-race winning streak has come at that tier, and the big question is whether the team will push it up a level to test how good it really is. Right now, Zipwire is a horse doing exactly what good horses do: winning races, doing it repeatedly at a track it loves, and giving its jockey the kind of partnership that makes watching it genuinely exciting. Whatever comes next, the recent form line of 1-1-1 is about as encouraging as it gets.
