Zenith Blaze

Trained by Joseph Patrick O'Brien at Owning Hill in County Kilkenny, Zenith Blaze is part of a yard in outstanding form this season. O'Brien's team has already sent out 160 winners, which tells you this is a serious operation with plenty of firepower. Being in a yard of that caliber counts for a lot when you are a young horse still learning the trade. The support, the facilities, and the expertise are all there — it just comes down to whether the horse has the ability to make full use of them.

At this stage, two races in, it is far too early to write any firm conclusions. Zenith Blaze has shown enough to stay in the placings but has not yet managed to get its head in front. How quickly that changes will depend on which races the yard targets next and whether the horse improves with the experience. For now, it remains a work in progress.
