The numbers tell a straightforward story. A win rate of roughly 1 in every 20 races is modest, and the horse hasn't won since that Limerick success, going six races without a victory since. Recent form reads 4-2-5-–-4-10, which suggests occasional flickers of promise — that second place is encouraging — but nothing sustained enough to suggest a winner is just around the corner.

Where You Done Well does show some logic is over longer trips. In races run over two miles or more, the record improves to 1 win from 13 attempts, which works out at roughly 1 in every 13 races at that distance. That might not sound dramatic, but for a horse that has struggled to find the winner's enclosure at all, there is at least a clear preference emerging. Stamina appears to be the lever worth pulling.

The trainer is Declan Queally, operating out of Cappagh in County Waterford. It's a yard that has sent out 26 winners this season, so Queally clearly knows how to get horses to perform. That You Done Well hasn't added to its tally in over six races suggests either the right opportunity hasn't come along yet, or the horse is simply operating at a level where winning is genuinely hard to come by. Raced just one day ago and still active, there's clearly a plan in place — the team haven't given up on finding another moment like Limerick.
