The trickiest part of the picture is where Yes Indeed tends to race. In 13 outings at Class 3 level — one of the more competitive tiers in Britain — the horse has not won once. That is a tough record, and it suggests Yes Indeed may be most dangerous when dropped into slightly easier company. Martin Keighley has spoken about the horse jumping well and doing everything right in a run at Carlisle, adding that a flatter track might suit and that he would not be shy about running the horse anywhere. That is a trainer who knows what he has — not a star, but a willing, honest horse that can be placed to win if the right opportunity comes along.

Jockey Jonjo O'Neill Jr has partnered Yes Indeed 12 times without a win together, which is a curious statistic given that Keighley's yard has sent out 19 winners this season. It may simply be a case of the horse not finding its moment. With a bit of class relief and the right track underfoot, another win is not out of the question.
