Work Like Hell has made just one appearance on the track so far, finishing third in a race for 2-year-olds one day ago. At this early stage, there is almost nothing to judge — a single outing tells you very little about what a young horse might become. The colt is trained by
James Tate, who runs a busy yard in Newmarket and has already sent out 51 winners this season, so the operation knows what it is doing. Whether Work Like Hell will develop into something useful remains entirely unknown, but at least it has now got a race under its belt and can begin to build experience.
