The father is Sea The Stars, one of the most celebrated racehorses of the modern era and now an equally respected stallion. The mother comes from the Le Havre line, a sire known for producing horses that develop well and handle a variety of conditions. On paper, at least, this is a horse built to progress and improve as the season goes on — though of course paper and reality do not always agree.
Joseph Patrick O'Brien trains out of Owning Hill in County Kilkenny, and his yard has sent out 154 winners already this season — a number that speaks for itself. That kind of output does not happen by accident. It reflects a large, well-organised operation with the horses, the staff, and the judgment to place them where they can win. When a yard is running that hot, even a debutant carries a certain weight of expectation. We will find out soon enough whether With The Stars is ready to live up to the name.
