The horse races regularly and was last out just a day ago, suggesting it remains a fixture in the trainer's plans. For owners of genuinely modest performers, horses like this — ones that have won at a respectable level and hold their place in a winning yard — often become favourites. They may never win again, but they have proved they can, and that matters.
