That is a remarkable conversion rate and suggests this horse has a clear preference for a standard surface rather than extremes in either direction.

Southwell is worth singling out. With 2 wins from just 5 races there, We Never Stop wins 40% of the time at that track — almost 1 in every 2 visits. That kind of course record is the sort of thing experienced punters circle in their notebooks and return to. Some horses simply have an affinity for a particular circuit, and Southwell appears to be this one's favourite address.

Jockey Shane Gray has been the constant throughout the partnership. He has been aboard for 22 of the 28 races and has ridden all five winners, giving the pair a win rate of 23% together — winning roughly 1 in every 4 races as a duo. That level of continuity between horse and rider matters: it builds understanding, and the results suggest the relationship is working.

The recent form reads 19-8-3-9-7-4 — a mix of near-misses and quiet runs — and it's now been 13 months since that last win in April 2025. The horse raced just one day ago and remains active. Trainer Kevin Ryan's yard at Hambleton has sent out 45 winners this season, so there is no shortage of confidence in the camp. Whether We Never Stop can add a sixth win is the open question, but a horse with this record at the top end of the all-weather calendar has earned the benefit of the doubt.
