There is not much of a record to analyse yet, and that is completely normal at this stage. Two-year-olds are essentially students in their first term, and a single seventh-place finish tells you very little about where a horse might end up. What matters more right now is who is doing the teaching.
That would be Tim Easterby, whose yard at Great Habton in North Yorkshire has already sent out 138 winners this season — a number that speaks for itself. Running a stable that productive takes serious organisation and an eye for placing horses in the right races at the right time. Village Hall is learning the trade in capable hands, and with only one race in the books, the story is very much still to be written.
