Trained by W P Mullins, one of the dominant forces in Irish racing with 215 winners already this season from his Muine Bheag yard, Vicar Street is in the kind of operation where form is usually a sign of something real. His first win came at Roscommon in July last year, but it is his victory at Galway this week that shows he remains sharp and competitive. With a race just yesterday still fresh in his legs, he is clearly an active part of the yard's plans going forward.
