Those bloodlines are worth a look. Untiltheend is by Kodi Bear, a sire who made his name as a sharp, quick sprinter, and the dam — the horse's mother — is by Zoffany, another influence associated with speed and a touch of class. Whether any of that translates to the track is the whole point of today.
What we do know is that Untiltheend arrives from a yard in form. Trainer Jack Channon operates out of West Ilsley in Berkshire, and his team has sent out 46 winners already this season — that is a genuinely busy and productive yard, not one that sends horses out for the experience alone. When a stable is firing like that, a first-time runner tends to come prepared. It does not guarantee anything, but it is a decent sign that Untiltheend will show up ready to run.
Everything after that is the race itself.
