Unspeakable

Unspeakable runs mostly at Class 5, the everyday bread-and-butter tier of British racing, and has won 2 of 18 races at that level — around 1 in every 9 attempts. What stands out more sharply is what happens when the horse travels to Taunton. In just 3 visits there, Unspeakable has won twice, making it a genuine course specialist. For context, most horses go through entire careers without ever winning twice at the same track. Something about Taunton clearly suits — whether the shape of the track, the ground, or simply the racing that tends to be served up there. That record began on 2 March 2023, when Unspeakable landed a first career win at the Somerset course, and the affection appears mutual.

The partnership with jockey Jack Tudor is the other thread worth pulling on.
