U S Navy Spearhead won on debut at Tramore last Friday and has yet to lose a race, though with just one outing under his belt there is little to go on. The 3-year-old, trained by
P G Fahey at Nurney in County Kildare, did the job when it mattered on his first time out, which is always a promising sign. Fahey's yard has produced two winners already this season, and U S Navy Spearhead looks like it could be another. With only a week passed since that winning debut, the horse is still very much active and will likely be tested at a higher level soon enough. Right now, though, he is a clean slate — a 100 per cent record that means everything and nothing until he proves he can do it again.
