Both of Typeface's wins came at Ffos Las, the Welsh track tucked just north of Llanelli, with the first arriving on 29 July 2025 and the second following just a fortnight later on 13 August. That kind of quick back-to-back success at the same venue is worth noting — some horses simply click with a particular track's layout or the way the ground rides there, and Typeface clearly has a relationship with Ffos Las. The ground matters too: on normal conditions, Typeface has won 2 of its 3 races, a remarkable 67% record that suggests it is a horse that wants things just right underfoot.

The last six runs tell a slightly different story, though. The sequence reads 2-2-7-2-7-6 (working backwards from most recent), which means two recent finishes down the field bookending a cluster of runner-up spots. Typeface has not won in any of those six races, and that last victory at Ffos Las now stands more than nine months ago. It has been competitive — three second-place finishes in that stretch — but converting those near-misses has proved elusive.

A stable firing at that volume gives every horse in it decent preparation and opportunity, and Typeface raced as recently as yesterday, so it is very much an active runner right now. The next question is whether a return to Ffos Las — on a good day — finally brings that third career win.
